The one-day training course at Opel’s Dudenhofen Test Center is designed to raise your perception of dangerous and borderline situations. It helps you improve your ability to respond while making the most of the car’s control and assistance systems – improving your active safety all-round. You have a range of new Opel models available for practice.
Our expert instructors show you how to maintain control of your vehicle in a series of practice sessions. On the slalom course, for example, you learn to find smooth steering rhythms; the so-called “lane change test” shows you how to avoid obstacles at high speed; and the various braking exercises teach you the fine art of decelerating.
The practice sessions are complemented with a theoretical program. Here you learn about the correct sitting position, the best way to hold the steering wheel, and skilled curve handling using sight lines and various steering techniques. You can also find out more about your vehicle’s self-steering properties and over- and under-steering.
Located near the Opel headquarters at Rüsselsheim, the Dudenhofen Test Center is usually a strictly guarded site where prototypes and experimental vehicles are put to the test. Its 2.6 square kilometers are home to many different types of test tracks and testing facilities in which whole vehicle lives are simulated in fast motion. At the end of your training you will receive a guided tour of the test center.
All participants receive a personal certificate as evidence of a successfully completed driver training course. Use this chance and learn how to deal with dangerous situations – it could save lives.
Naturally: Food and beverages will be provided free of charge.
