With Opel’s unique Interactive Driving System, electronically-controlled chassis control systems give you more scope to optimise the Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and 4 link independent suspension. Optional IDS-plus extends your control still further. |

Illumination when you need it most. Controlled by the movement of the steering wheel and your speed, optional AFL provides considerably more illumination around curves than normal headlights. Furthermore, the main beam, whether set on high or low, adjusts to the speed of the vehicle, projecting further at higher speeds.

In daylight, special sensors enable your Vectra (Design) and Signum (Design & Elite) to adapt to the light levels of the road ahead and will automatically activate dipped beam if necessary. This system can even differentiate between tunnels (lights will switch on) and bridges (lights remain off). |
At speeds of more than 30km/h, under ABS intervention, the illuminated brake lights blink 5 times per second to provide increased warning to drivers of following vehicles. |
Safety can be further enhanced by an electronic display incorporating ice alert, tyre pressure monitor and an on-board computer to keep the driver constantly aware of prevailing conditions. (Standard on Signum, Vectra Design & SRi, optional on Vectra Club) |
